Still kickin !

Hey Everyone....

I don't know if anyone ever reads my stuff, but, sometimes it helps just to get it off my chest. I haven't been here in ages, kind of got it in my mind that it was a huge waste of time and effort.

I wish I could make ALL people understand the damage and lifetime of hurt they cause when they abuse someone. I mean the bruises go away, the scars heal, but the soul is harmed and broken and the memories are forever. Every time I hear about a new incident [which is a lot more often than should ever be] it refreshes the ugly memories. Abuse can crumble your soul, fracture your heart, murder your dreams, kill your innocence, and completely destroy your trust in almost all people...And I would tell you that it gets better, but I haven't gotten there yet. Oh, it is better than it used to be, but IT IS STILL THERE. Just stop being mean, I mean even the mind control, the mental abuse it almost worse than the physical abuse. I don't understand why people are so ugly to each other. This is suppose to be the one you couldn't live without. At one time you love Him or Her more than anything. So how could you destroy them. GET HELP..give it to God, he will help. And I am not saying it is just men..I have heard a lot of men talking about wife abuse, hitting, name calling, and in front of children. STOP, STOP, STOP.. Those children WILL remember it all, and it will affect them forever. Get help, ask your minister, a phycologist, a friend, any one..JUST STOP.

Okay, that made me feel better. Not that it will affect anyone else, but sometimes I just feel like it NEEDS to be said. God Bless anyone who reads this...and all who are living it. And if your living it, LEAVE, they will hit you again. Protect yourself and your children, don't let anyone destroy your peace of mind, or your children's.

Stop Violence..any kind!!

Paradise?

It just seems funny to me that we all live in a warm, wonderful environment, and still catch all these colds. We have done nothing but pass it around for weeks!! I guess germs don't care anything about temperatures!

My son-in-laws Father and father's girlfriend are visiting. They are very nice, and it is always a pleasure to have them here. But, somehow I always feel like the proverbial 5th wheel. I'm not sure why, but I feel in the way, I wish when they had company, I could be gone. I may be gripping about something that is not even a real problem!!!!! I do that quite often, always have. His Mother and step father are coming next. She is very nice, but also very strange. Not strange, like weird, but just different than most people, and he fits her perfectly. I know they will all love seeing the children. I can't have them to myself all the time!!!!

Well, that's about all for now, I just don't feel up to par and I am DONE...Thanks for your time.. God Bless. Enjoy the picture!!!

Crazy OLD Lady....

I have to tell on myself, the electricity went off night before last and I had to reset my clock. Well, this morning I got up, hurried to get dressed to take my Grand son to the Bus for school. I was just getting ready to go in and wake him up and for some reason glanced once more at the clock, IT WAS ONLY 10 minutes until 6 A.M... We never get him up until seven, I'd set my clock an hour early somehow, so irratating and noone but myself to blame. Oh well, whats done is done, I'll just have a little bit longer day!

Here's something to make you smile............................................................>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Lazy Blogger...

Hi Everyone..

I know its been quite awhile since I Blogged.....no excuses, just didn't think I had anything interesting to say. I hope anyone that reads this had a wonderful, blessed Christmas and a very safe, Happy New Year.

Everyone here has been sick off and on. Right now it is my daughter, Brina and grand daughter, Chloe. Brina is starting to feel a little better, Chloe is just starting hers and feeling miserable.

I've been talking to a man online, "Elvis", he is an impersonator, seems really nice, but he is wanting to meet and I AM A CHICKEN. It just seems a little scary to meet a strange person...without backup! If you know what I mean. But, it is very nice to have someone to talk to once in awhile...other than family. Someone to kind of flirt with, does that make me sound bad? It is just fun, and harmless as long as we are separated by E-lines.

Anyway, I hurt my shoulder in a fall at the movies..some older ladies dropped her soda and didn't bother to tell anyone..and I slipped in it. They think I may have torn the rotor cuff {or is that cupp?} Anyway, we're going through all the steps to get to what ever it is they are going to do to me. Sure does hurt {most of the time anyway}.

That's about all for now, God Bless and if you took the time to read this...Thanks. I appreciate you!!!

Kids

Hey Ya'll:

I just want to say how ornery it is to make fun of your parents...My daughter laughs or makes fun of me almost everytime I talk. I have a small southern accent, I have had it now for about sixty years. DO WE REALLY THINK ITS GOING ANYWHERE NOW???? I do try not to use southern slang, but sometimes it jsut slips out.....

AS IN: I outta slap the lips off you face.
You dirty dog
ya'll..........................................You get the idea.

I know it not proper "upper society" English. But, as I said, I been talkin this way for sixty years. I know she's just teasing, but, sometimes it makes me feel gritty.

My babies are still doing great, they like the way Grammy talks !!! Oh well, like is that's life...God Bless.

Old Lady Online!!!

Hi Everyone:

Hope everyone that reads this, had a wonderful Halloween! Didn't get to see many trick or treaters..but, my babies made up for it, they were so cute...

I know beyond a doubt now..I AM OLD. I went to an appointment yesterday, IT WAS FOR TODAY..Then on the way home, I decided to take a shortcut...almost an hour later I found my way back home [should have taken me 15 minutes!!] And, I can't hardly get through a day without repeating myself..makes my daughter crazy!! I think it may be some kind of karma "punishment"...I remember not being very understanding with older people when I was younger..Now, I am being paid back.

God Bless, Get ready for the next onslaught of holidays...Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner!!! See ya...Linda

Prayers please !

Hi All;

My grand babies costumes are so cute this year, of course I say that every year. Brina, my daughter, made the moon costume...pretty neat if I say so myself!! She did a wonderful job, as usual!!!

I had to have a biopsy today on my left cheek. Keep me in your prayers that its just a bump and not anything else!!!! It is always scary when you have to even think about cancer. We'll know in about 2 weeks.

Take care and hope you have a splendid Halloween. And NO TRICKERS, or TOILET PAPERERS!!

Bye...God Bless.

I'm back !!

Hi,

I know its been awhile. Just couldn't make myself sit down and start. Been a couple of rough weeks. My arthritis has been trying to smush me, hurts alot. My shoulder has been giving me fits, hurts so bad sometimes, I just want to cry!

We had a wreck and did $5500.00 damage to my daughter's car. No one hurt though, and the other car wasn't even scratched!! So, I guess we were actually lucky! Then the Doctor had me do a colonoscopy, worst test ever..not really the test but the steps leading up to it, [the stuff of nightmares]. The car is all fixed now, and everything is getting back to normal.

Now that I write it down, it just doesn't seem as bad as I though it was...i am just a big ole baby!!! Oh well, somebody has to complain about something. Guess it was my turn.

It is VOTING time, everybody get out there. Every vote makes a difference!!

God Bless, hope everyone is well. Happy Halloween.....

I'm back

Hi,
Haven't done much lately, so it kind of makes it hard to write anything interesting. But, I did get to go the movies with my daughter, Brina on Sunday. It was a good movie, The Women, not the best, but good. However, we had two little old ladies sitting close to us and they spent the whole movie passing gas and burping and clearing their throats. Then when we got up to leave, as I stepped over their feet, they had spilled water on the floor and didn't bother to tell us and I slipped and almost hit the floor. I was so mad, I mean, just because your old doesn't mean you have the right to be rude and disrespectful. I could have broken my leg. My daughter was angry too, but where I just glared, she told them how rude they were. They still never said they were sorry or even offered to move. I just don't understand some people, its just common manners, common respect. Oh well, I hope whoever reads this had a wonderful weekend, without any problems. God Bless, talk again soon......Linda

Go away IKE

Hi All:

I guess we got lucky again, Ike has missed us and unfortunately is heading towards Texas. So far we have been awfully lucky, we've had

9 hurricanes this season and we've basically missed them all...Oh, we got some of the wind and rains, but we missed them bad parts.

Everything here is going okay, Chloe feels much better. And her lip looks better than we thought was possible. It is not going to leave a big scar. We got lucky there too!!!!

Have a blessed day, talk again soon. God Bless...........Linda

Waiting to see what IKE does!!

Chloe is feeling better [after her busted lip experience] and Quinn is doing fine. We're all waiting to see what Ike does, they say he may change course and miss us. I hope so, I don't need to experience a hurricane....again!!!
Today is Eric and Brina's [my son-in-law and my daughter] anniversary...11 years. They are going out to dinner tonight. Nothing to exciting.
Have a glorious, wonderful day. God Bless......Linda

Isn't my new car pretty?????

Labor Day

Hello Anyone;

I hope you had a wonderful, safe Labor Day, we did not. My beautiful baby Grand daughter busted her mouth open..........................................>>>

Doesn't she look awful, poor baby got 8 stitches. She was trying to climb up on a chair and slipped. Hit her mouth on the table and then hit the floor. I couldn't hug her enough, I was sure wishing I could have been standing closer and caught her. I felt so bad.

Take care and God Bless......Linda

Bye Bye Hurricane Fay!!

Hey You,

Well we survived our first hurricane, or should I say the edge of a hurricane. We had lots of wind and rain, we lost a tree and a chime, and our poll was decorated with a lot of debris. We did alright, mostly scared of the anticipation and fear we gained from other people that told us how bad it was going to get. Anyway, we made it and its over!!

If anyone reads this, I hope you made it okay too and your families are all safe. God Bless!

Its is Wednesday

Hey;

We took the kids to Wannado, at the mall today. its alot of fun..usually..today they had 10-14 school buses full of kids there. And they had very little supervision, running around, knocking people out of the way, stepping on your toes, cutting in line at the rides, one of them even put my grand daughter on a carousel, by herself....I was terrified. I thought my daughter took her, and she thought I had her, horrible couple of minutes, but I spied her and jumped on the carousel with her, she's only 2 years old. We said something to one of the supervisors, he said they were all there before us and it was okay for them to cut in line. And apparently anything else they wanted to do. We actually cut the afternoon short, toooo many wild kids and ours got cranky!!!!

Gotta go, time for some more Olympics! God Bless...Linda

Good Morning Monday

Another Monday morning, I had a great weekend. Mostly with my gran kids, but some time to myself too. I walked around Target, and probally spent too much money!! But, I had a good time and it gave me something to do. I really need to get out and meet some people, it is very hard here. People don't act like they want to make new friends or even talk to you. Well, not all of them, but most!! Have a beautiful blessed day, God Bless.....

Hey

Hi,

It is another cloudy day here. Met no one still, people here just aren't very friendly, and if you say Hello to them, they act like your trying to steal their wallets. Oh well, I suppose it will happen sooner or later. I did see another Lady from Missouri today, but she didn't wave back either.

Everyone went out to dinner tonight, except me and Chloe, they have company again, for the next 5 days. But, me and [2 yr old, grand daughter] Chloe like to spend our time together anyway! We didn't want to eat out, we have more fun staying here and eating what ever we want!!!!

Take care, God Bless.....Linda

Another day, another DAY

Hi Someone!

I got to take my grand son, Quinn, to Karate camp this morning. He gets so excited, and he makes sure our not going to hang around. He is funny, I'll pick him up in a little while and go get him some McD. The my grand daughter, Chloe, and I went to walk around Wal-Greens and pick up some healthy snacks [ Yea, I know they wanted chocolate, but nuts and pretzels and fruit snacks do just fine!]

By the way, the roast beef last night was to die for, Everyone ate themselves silly. Not bragging, just facts. And of course the best part is....leftovers!! Had some for lunch!

Chloe and Brina [my daughter] are swimming right now, and I'm going to get Quinn. Take care, God Bless and have a wonderful day.

It is going to rain AGAIN

Hello,

I making roast, potatoes, carrots, and gravy for supper, anybody want some? I like to cook, not the best in the world but it is usually edible!

Okay, Talk to somebody--someday--later. God Bless, take care.

Good Day Sunshine in Florida

Hi All [all who?],
Anyway, I am having a quite, nice day. Playing with Chloe and cooking beans for dinner {I'll making sweet cornbread too} and just hanging around. I guess I missed a Doctor's appointment this morning..didn't even know I had an appt. Oh well, I made another one for the 12th.
I answered my first Poll today. "Do you think Angelina and Brad's new babies are worth paying 14 million for us to see them?" Ugh, No. You and I both know, pictures will surface, if we're patient. Why give them more money than they already have? I heard that they are donating it to charity, but it still fells like selling yourself. I don't know it just doesn't seem quite right!
Oh well, who knows, maybe I would have sold my pictures if someone would have offered me 14 million. Who know until it happens! God Bless, be safe. Linda
